"In
the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was
without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And
the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let
there be light: and there was light." Genesis,
chapter 1, verses 1 through 3.
God is God, the
Creator of the entire universe and every infinitely
small particle found in anything and everything. Only God decides where
each
bit and part is to be throughout time. He is the great "I AM," who
created all of us as well. We were made for His good pleasure, in His
likeness, for His glory. He is omnipotent, all-knowing, all capable,
everlasting, the single originator of love and all good things. There
is no one, no force, no power, nothing whatsoever that He does not
stand above. Though shown in Scripture as Father-Son-Holy Spirit, only
God is God.
Perhaps most
importantly to realize and believe at this moment is this: God is not
optional, for us to choose to believe in or not. It is His will that is
done on earth and in heaven - not ours.
And yes, even
though we are born with a gift from God that most people
never recognize as coming from God - the gift of free will, to make our
own choices about things - all the choices we
make ultimately take us
back to Him.
