These words were spoken by Jesus to his disciples
days before His death, and thousands of years later became my salvation
verse. In 1989, at
a time when I thought there was no hope for my future, no friend to be
found, no way to escape the failures of life and relationships, God's
promise of hope and security through Jesus became real to me. I
accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior at that moment and have
never looked back.

Have I had trials since then? Of course. Have expectations of things in
this world not been fulfilled? Of course, again. But do I have all
assurance that my soul will not suffer the pains of hell, that I will
dwell through eternity in God's love with the heavenly host? Yes! Thank
Every day now has new meanings and opportunities, and I relish them all
--- the good and the bad alike, because I know God allows me to
experience for my own good and to share His love with others. There is
nothing more I want of this world.
is always hope, but sometimes we need
someone to help us find it. Friends and strangers alike may try to
comfort you, perhaps try to lead you to ways that are supposed to make your life
easier or more rewarding. Some may even want to tell you about Jesus - I urge you to listen to them.
Jesus waits at the door with hope that
springs eternal; invite Him into your life. Accept God's gift of salvation in Jesus today. He will
not leave you comfortless.
