Scriptures from the Holy Bible, King James (Authorised) Version of 1611
Ecclesiastes, chapter 9, verses 10-12

10
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.

Holy Bible -- King James Version

Selah (Pause, and consider these things)
By Leonard L Hamilton Jr, Encouraging Words Ministries

Springtime again! Perhaps the hardest working season of the entire year, Spring is when many things are become as new and renewed energies abound to tasks at hand. And, some things will flourish, some will diminish. "Now" is the time; "later" is too late; and "tomorrow" has no remembrance of "today" in its own busy-ness.

(v.11) Good and evil happen to all, and there seems neither rhyme nor reason for it: yet God has ordained the way events should occur, and praised be the Name of the Lord! Any may triumph, or appear to triumph; often, prosperity is but of the moment for most.

(v.12) Who among the living can know what their fortunes may be, or the time allotted for their gathering? But God has in His Wisdom set all things on a course sure to return to Himself. He will be accepted or rejected; He too will accept or reject that which is His good pleasure.

Good times or bad? Which are you having? Every moment is a good (nay, the best!) moment to accept Christ as Lord and Saviour, to be one day presented to God as holy. Every moment not so utilized is a bad moment, for it may well have been the last!

Your Invitation

While this passage may not seem a segue into an offer of the free gift of Grace- Salvation in Jesus Christ- it surely shows how unknowable our situation truly is, and that without doubt God is in control! He has offered us a choice. We have the freedom to accept it or not; we may not have the time for hesitation. Let your devotion to Jesus be real, your heart pure in surrender to Him Who created all things!

Why do you wait? Heaven calls to you.......
